medium · MCQ · Q-724785

In a parallelogram ABCDABCD, if ∠A=3x−10∘\angle A = 3x - 10^\circ and ∠C=2x+30∘\angle C = 2x + 30^\circ, find the measure of ∠A\angle A.

  1. A.40°
  2. B.70°
  3. C.110°Correct answer
  4. D.140°

Solution

Opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal. Therefore, 3x−10=2x+303x - 10 = 2x + 30, which gives x=40x = 40. Substituting xx back, ∠A=3(40)−10=110∘\angle A = 3(40) - 10 = 110^\circ.
