Why did many British industrialists continue to depend on hand labour even after machines had been introduced? Give two or three reasons.
Solution
Industrialists did not replace all workers with machines because machines required heavy investment and were not suitable for every task. Hand labour was flexible, relatively inexpensive, and especially valuable for seasonal or specialised production.
