Vectors a and b are perpendicular, with |a| = 5 and |b| = 12. Find |2a − b|.
- A.13
- B.√169
- C.2√61Correct answer
- D.√244
Solution
Since a · b = 0, |2a − b|² = 4|a|² + |b|² = 4(25) + 144 = 244. Hence, |2a − b| = √244 = 2√61.
